Cultural Connection

Our Vision

A world where African, Caribbean, and Canadian creativity flows freely, crossing oceans and cities while staying true to its roots.

A stage where young creators rise with confidence, their art carrying the strength of heritage and passing its meaning through generations.

Our Impact

We connect people, places, and possibilities.

Through performances, collaborations, and mentorship, we open doors for young artists from Africa, the Caribbean, and Canada to share their work far beyond home.

Every connection we make brings their voices into the heart of the global conversation, voices rooted in heritage, alive with creativity, and ready to shape what comes next.

Our Mission

We give you the space to tell your story in your truest voice, to hold onto your roots and carry them forward with pride.

We place in your hands the tools, the moments, and the stage for your voice to reach far beyond borders.

Here, your art is never confined.

It moves. It sparks. It shifts how the world sees.

CULTURAXIS-Hub because your story was always meant to travel.

ELIZABETH BENOIT

Elizabeth Benoit is a Mauritian-born Canadian woman, originally from a tropical island off the coast of East Africa. A producer, community builder, and visionary, she is guided by a passion for creating bold opportunities for artists whose voices too often go unheard.

She opens doors to networks of excellence in both English and French, helping creators navigate financial, creative, and professional challenges while amplifying their voices and affirming their place on the international stage.

Her commitment to community extends far beyond Canada. Elizabeth has volunteered in the bateys of the Dominican Republic, where she worked with children, youth, and families facing economic hardship. These experiences deepened her dedication to dignity, justice, and opportunity for marginalized communities worldwide.

As the founder and CEO of the HERSTORY Foundation, Elizabeth has created spaces where creativity and leadership spark change. In 2025, she launched HERSTORY Kids, a free bilingual program offering creative and leadership workshops for girls aged 6–12, helping them discover that their voices matter and their dreams are valid.

That same year, she was selected for the BIG UP Kids Incubator & International Producer Residency, a prestigious program powered by Black Women Film & Media Canada with support from the Canada Media Fund and Telefilm Canada.

Elizabeth is building more than programs. She is shaping a future where every girl and every artist can see themselves as powerful, worthy, and whole.

Because the sun rises in her, too.
